Welcome to

Grafton House

Grafton House has been subject to a careful restoration performed by skilled craftsmen. The private and subtly lit access onto landscaped grounds reveals the building which continues to have an immediate impact almost 200 years after its original construction.

The main building is entered through solid wooden doors with brass handles leading into the hallway with parquet flooring. The initial aesthetic upon entry is redolent of the grandeur of English manor houses.

Internally each apartment reflects a successful contrast through the retention of character features including, high ceilings, large skirting, wooden flooring and sash windows but with the convenience and comfort of contemporary design features including underfloor heating.

Each kitchen has a quartz worktop and comes with integrated appliances of Neff built in single fan oven, Neff built in ceramic hob with touch controls and Indesit integrated fridge/freezer. The shower rooms are fitted with Duravit sanitaryware, Crosswater shower heads and taps.

Future development is proposed on the western side of the building – this will provide a series of apartments which are proposed to be in the lower ground and ground floor area.

Cambridge Life

Grafton House provides modern urban living synonymous with city life whilst also capturing the tranquillity of Cambridge. The building is located off Maids Causeway, a historic road between the River Cam and the centre of Cambridge. Grafton House is a Building of Local Interest in the Kite Conservation Area, preserving the character of the location Taking a walk here could encompass a stroll along the river, passing by the ancient college buildings or the hustle of the city centre shopping area.

The location is moments away from the green areas of Midsummer Common, and nearby to Jesus Green, Christ’s Pieces and Parker’s Piece. The character of the area is supported by independent coffee shops, brasseries, restaurants and independent boutiques as well as upper end retailers including John Lewis, LK Bennett, The Apple Store, Whistles and Ted Baker. The area also benefits from tennis courts, outdoor fitness and the Jesus Green lido open air swimming pool

Location

In addition to travel by foot, Grafton House benefits from immediate access to Cambridge’s abundant cycle routes. Central Cambridge Railway Station (with trains direct to London Kings’ Cross within 45 minutes) is a short cab drive away (1.5 km). For a more traditional mode of transport, punting stations on the Cam are readily accessible!

Grafton House provides high end living in a prime and historic location that will enable residents to benefit fully from the very best in lifestyle, culture and entertainment that Cambridge has to offer.
